^RECOIL® thread inserts features:

^RECOIL® thread inserts can be used to repair damaged threads, but also to create stronger threads in light alloys.

- Under static and dynamic loads: ^RECOIL® thread inserts increase assembly strength and reliability.

- Tolerance to loosening: ^RECOIL® thread inserts have a larger free diameter than the thread in which they are to be installed, and are compressed during installation, making them resistant to loosening after installation.

- Corrosion-resistant: ^RECOIL® thread inserts are made from 18-8 stainless steel (type 304), laminated in diamond section to ensure good corrosion resistance, reduce friction and thread wear, and exceed the technical possibilities of the original material. ^RECOIL® also produces thread inserts in Inconel X750, Nimonic 90, phosphor bronze or 316 stainless steel, on request.

- Compact dimensions and low weight: Thread inserts can be installed in bosses, reduced fittings and other housings with limited dimensions. This reduces the size and weight of parts and materials, while guaranteeing technically superior fastening compared to threaded nuts and bushes.

- Temperature-resistant: ^RECOIL® thread inserts have a temperature range of -150°C to +425°C.

- Eliminate vibration problems by using RECOIL® self-locking threads^.

- Packaging to suit your needs: Replenishment bags with specially designed quantities for occasional repairs, and bulk packaging for original equipment or larger production runs.

Taps for thread inserts:

Taps for thread inserts are slightly larger in diameter than standard taps. STI RECOIL taps are made of HSS high-speed steel.

On request, we can supply taps with very precise tolerances, machine taps by upsetting, special taps for aluminum...

The different types of taps :

- Hand taps: roughing, intermediate and finishing taps

- Self-tapping taps for spark plug tapping

- Machine taps: straight flute taps for through holes and helical flute taps for blind holes

Individual repair kits

Repair kits are specially designed for reinforcing or repairing taps.

Each kit includes :

• HSS high-speed steel tap
• A breaker up to M10 or 3/8
• Lightweight, high-performance installation tools
• Thread inserts
• Assembly instructions

- The thread inserts contained in these sets are 1.5 x diameter.

- Lengths 1D, 1.5D, 2D are also available in small quantities in restocking bags.

- The batch number on each box ensures total traceability of each part.

Installation tools - breakers and extractors

^RECOIL® thread inserts are designed in such a way that it is not necessary to use an installation tool fitted with a guide nose. As the first turn of the thread insert is reduced, the ^RECOIL® installation tool is ideal for general use (repairs, small series).
