- No tapping required: an unmachined or drilled receiving hole with no special tolerances is all that's needed to fit the bush.
- Elimination of thread wear: in the case of frequent screw dismantling in light alloys, plastics and other materials, the bushing is more resistant to thread wear.
- Increased safety in use: the bushing offers a large active shearing surface. As a result, its pull-out resistance is increased. For example, an M5 thread can be replaced by an M4 socket.

ENSAT® should not be jammed under the head, in the thread or at the end of the thread. For this reason, ENSAT® should be screwed 1mm deeper into the workpiece. The table below will help you determine the ideal drilling diameter, depending on the material of the part and the type of bushing chosen. In the event of installation difficulties, we advise you to choose the larger diameter without any problem, or to carry out a few tests to determine the optimum diameter.

The receiving hole can be drilled or rough cast. In general, it is advisable to chamfer the entrance to the hole to a depth equal to approximately once the pitch of the external thread.

Manual installation with semi-automatic installation tool and manual installation with left-turn tool.
- Drill hole, chamfer if necessary
- Screw bushing onto tool, slot or holes downwards
- Screw the sleeve to approx. 0.1 to 0.2 mm below the surface of the workpiece. When screwing with the tool, the locking pin must drive the outer sleeve in a clockwise direction.
- Unscrew the tool. With the semi-automatic tool, sleeve release is automatic. With the manual tool, when unscrewing, lock the nut with a wrench until the tool separates from the bushing.

- Tapping machine
- Drilling machine with spindle reversal by depth stop or with reversible tapping unit. Without boss, without automatic feed. Never exceed permissible tightening torques.
- Special hand-held drilling machine with reversing depth stop
- For high-volume production: special machines with pneumatic or electric drive, semi- or fully automatic.
