FEATURES

Keyserts and Keenserts threaded inserts provide strong, permanent threads in virtually all materials. The special feature of these inserts is that they are made with 2 or 4 keys which, once installed, lock the insert in its seat. Available in carbon steel "Keyserts" and stainless steel "Keenserts".

ADVANTAGES OF KEYSERTS AND KEENSERTS THREADED INSERTS

- Keyserts and Keenserts threaded inserts are particularly recommended for use in high-vibration situations. The key system eliminates any risk of loosening.
- They significantly increase torque and load capacity in low-strength materials.
- High mechanical strength
- Long life cycle
- No special drills or taps required
- Easy to install

INSTALLATION OF KEY INSERTS

- Remove old thread using standard drill bit
- Tap a new thread, using a standard tap
- Screw Kersert or Keensert into the tap until it is below the workpiece surface
- Use the installation tool to drive in the keys. Proceed with several hammer blows

REMOVING KEY INSERTS

- Remove the material between the keys and the internal thread with a standard drill to the correct depth
- Bend the keys on the inside and break them off
- Remove the Keysert or Keensert with a Drill Out (product sheet here) or a similar tool
- A Keysert or Keensert of the same size can be replaced in the original thread
