Description :
The key to the reliability of a screwed assembly lies in the preservation over time of the tension generated during tightening. Vibration and loosening (loss of tension through settling) lead to loss of tension in the assembly and loosening, with potentially serious consequences.
With Nord-Lock, you can secure your assemblies for sure, while keeping costs under control: the cam-operated locking system. The Nord-Lock system consists of two washers toothed on one side, guaranteeing anchorage in the part to be tightened and in the screw head or nut. On the other side, the washers are provided with inclined flats. The two half-washers are initially held together in pairs by a light dot of glue to ensure correct mounting. Nord-Lock washers can be reused, however, even if the glue spot disappears. The cam angle inside the washer is greater than the thread angle. If the screw tends to loosen, the cam angle will lock in any rotation.
