TDI keeps a stock of A2 stainless steel slotted socket head machine screws, to offer superior corrosion resistance to the main steel coatings used in bolting applications. A2 stainless steel accounts for over 65% of all stainless steel applications. Its corrosion resistance is superior to the main types of coating used in bolting applications, and is assessed by a PREN of 18. The use of a washer allows better control of the coefficient of friction under the head during tightening, preserves the part to be assembled, increases the assembly height and therefore the elastic reserve of the threaded element. Our flat washers are available in a wide range of diameters. This narrow series can be used to compensate for thickness or misalignment between two parts.
