Stainless steel grade A2 accounts for over 65% of stainless steel applications. Its corrosion resistance is superior to that of the main types of coating used in bolting and is assessed by a PREN of 18. The use of a washer allows better control of the coefficient of friction under the head during tightening, preserves the part to be assembled, increases the assembly height and therefore the elastic reserve of the threaded element.
