Joint wear is a problem common to all machines. Joint performance directly affects a machine's ability to perform its task safely and with high precision.
When a machine is running, the load is concentrated on the bearing. Wear on the bearing surfaces occurs because they are made of the most fragile material. Wear on the bearing surfaces leads to increased vibration and reduced precision and stability. Bearing wear is usually repaired by reaming, a time-consuming and costly procedure. This traditional repair method solves joint wear, but does not prevent it from recurring.

With the Expander system, repairs can be carried out directly on worn assemblies without welding or reaming.
The expansion sleeves expand and lock the system in place - permanently eliminating joint wear.
The Expander system is installed directly into the existing support, eliminating play and distributing the load.
